Nick Hogan’s Car Flipped Around, Back End Hit A Palm Tree

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Hulk Hogan’s son Nick was seriously injured in a car crash Sunday night.

Police said a Toyota Supra driven by Nick Bollea was traveling at a high rate of speed earlier Sunday evening. Bollea, which is Hogan’s real name, lost control and hit a raised median. The car flipped around, and the back end hit a palm tree.

Bollea and an unidentified male passenger were extricated from the car by paramedics. Then they were airlifted to a St. Petersburg hospital. Police described the injuries of both men as serious.

Singer Amy Winehouse has defended her husband in a series of texts after the couple were involved in a violent row which left them both bloodied and bruised.

Amy denied Blake was the cause of the argument, 24 hours earlier after which the 23-year-old singer, who has spent most of the summer in and out of rehab for crack and heroin addiction, was seen with bandages covering her arm, blood-spattered shoes and a gashed knee.

And in a series of texts between the Rehab singer and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, she defended her husband who she claimed “saved my life”.

ATLANTA: The husband of a televangelist who has won a national following with sermons about women’s empowerment will be charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats following a confrontation in which he left her badly bruised, Atlanta police said.

Officer Ronald Campbell said Juanita Bynum met with authorities Thursday at an undisclosed location to press the charges against preacher Thomas W. Weeks III, founder of Global Destiny churches.

The struggle happened early Wednesday in a hotel parking lot near Atlanta’s airport, and a hotel bellman pulled Weeks off Bynum, Campbell said.

PORN star Jenna Jameson has had her breast implants taken out - and will quit making smut to focus on her own clothing line and comic book.

Jameson, 33, went under the knife to have the notorious implants removed earlier this month.

She reportedly went from a D cup to a C.

“When I had implants I felt uncomfortable. I would be shy at the beach. I know it sounds funny, but I’d wear high-necked clothes - unless I was at an adult-film convention. So I thought, ‘Why don’t I be who I am and get my real ones back?’,” she told US magazine Us Weekly.

LONDON: Ten years after Diana’s death, the editors of three leading British tabloids have admitted their share of guilt over the road mishap in which the Princess of Wales was killed in Paris.

The editors of ‘News of the World’, ‘The Sun’ and ‘Daily Mirror’ have conceded that they had helped create an atmosphere in which the paparazzi, who were chasing Princess Diana when her car crashed in a Paris underpass in 1997, were out of control, ‘The Daily Telegraph’ reported here on Wednesday.

First lady Cheri Daniels apparently is one heck of a spitter.

And she’s got the blue ribbon to prove it.

The first lady took top honors in a watermelon-seed-spitting contest at this year’s Indiana State Fair. In fact, she won two blue ribbons this year, including one for milking a cow.

“After coming in second in the cow-milking contest last year, I vowed to take home first this year,” said Daniels, obviously a scrappy competitor. “I practiced several times throughout the fair and the hard work paid off.”

Her prowess at spitting watermelon seeds she credits to her upbringing.

There’s a new tool out there that lets you search the destination IP addresses for people editing wikipedia entries. Arthur Bergman found that folks at Fox News’s IP address were editing Al Franken’s entry. Apparently, Fox News propagandists deleted Franken’s statement that Fox News’s legal case against Franken was “”literally laughed out of court” and that “wholly (holy) without merit” is a good characterization of Fox News itself.” The Fox News users also added a ‘liberal’ adjective when characterizing the NPR show ‘Fresh Air’.

TRENTON - On TV, Albert Insinnia played a cop who went after sexual deviants. And in real life, he’s a child porn perv, authorities alleged yesterday.

Insinnia, 57, of Bloomfield, turned himself into the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department in Wayne Monday and was released on bail yesterday, officials said.

The man who played a New York police lieutenant on NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” was charged with possession of child pornography.

Authorities allegedly discovered 180 images of child porn on the hard drive of the actor’s laptop computer.

Insinnia declined to comment.

Ronald Goldman’s Family Awarded Rights To Book Last Month

LOS ANGELES — A literary agent for the family of stabbing victim Ronald Goldman has made a deal to repackage and publish O.J. Simpson’s canceled “If I Did It” book about the slayings of Goldman and Simpson’s ex-wife, a spokesman for the agent said Monday.

Details of the agreement, including the name of the New York publishing house, will be released Tuesday, said Michael Wright, a spokesman for Los Angeles-based literary agent Sharlene Martin of Martin Literary Management.
